The Rainbow Poplar
This tulip poplar grew in Jacksonville, Florida — and it was already old when Florida became a state. The swirling greens, golds, and ochres running through the grain aren’t paint or stain; they’re the minerals and decades written into the wood itself. Tulip poplar earns the name “rainbow” only when the conditions are exactly right, and this tree earned it.
Large enough for a dining table or statement desk. Once it’s spoken for, that’s it.

The St. Augustine Oak
This live oak stood in St. Augustine, Florida for longer than the United States has existed. Dated before 1776, it outlasted generations before Hurricane Dora finally brought it down. Cross-cut to reveal centuries of growth rings, the slab carries the kind of character that can’t be manufactured — spalting, figure, and grain written over hundreds of years of Florida weather.
